Antique Natolia, quae olim Asia Minor Map. Travel / Exploration / Geography

This is an original antique copper engraving that is uncolored. It is a decorative map of Asia Minor with the Mediterranean Sea and neighboring Cyprus. The entire paper measures approximately 22.5" wide x 15.5" tall. The actual map from border to border measures roughly 19.5"" wide by 15"" tall. The highly decorative map is ornated with a Turk, holding a mileage scale, in the lower right corner, as well an ornated large title cartouche in the upper center. There are sea sea monsters and ships displayed in the water. The paper has tanned over the years and there are strips of tape residue along the edges. Two of these strips infringe on the actual map (see top and bottom center). You will receive this in a tube mailer. It had been framed for many years, but was removed due to a crack in the glass. The last two pictures show the map in the frame before it was removed. Again, you do NOT get the frame. This map is uncolored and undated with no identifiers on it. Thank you for looking.
