Struck in 90% silver at San Francisco as part of the limited 15-coin silver proof set (total mintage ~216,000 sets), it is graded NGC PF69 Ultra Cameo Early Releases (cert #4391944-035). The PF69 grade is essentially flawless to the naked eye, with deep mirrored fields and heavy frosting on the devices, delivering strong black-and-white contrast. The Early Releases designation adds a small premium. While silver proof ATB quarters are common in PF69 UCAM, the combination of 90% silver composition, Early Releases pedigree, and the popular Cumberland Gap design keeps it desirable among series and modern proof collectors.
