Eastlake-style mantle clock, crafted by the renowned E. Ingraham Clock Company of Bristol, Connecticut, circa 1880–1890. Measuring a substantial 14 inches wide by 14 inches high (and about 5.5 inches deep), this square-form shelf clock commands attention with its richly carved solid oak case—featuring a dramatic scalloped crest, swirling floral motifs, and geometric spandrels that exemplify the bold, angular Eastlake design inspired by architect Charles Eastlake's reform movement. The clock boasts a classic brass dial with crisp Roman numerals, ornate gold bezel, and visible escapement for that authentic mechanical charm. Inside, it's powered by Ingraham's signature 8-day time-and-strike movement, complete with all original components, including the decorative brass pendulum and brass winding key. It currently winds smoothly and runs briefly (ticks and chimes softly), but stops after a short time—likely just needs a professional cleaning and oiling (a quick $50–$100 fix for full reliability). No major damage, cracks, or missing parts; the glass is intact, and the case shows honest patina from age, with minor wear to edges that adds to its character.
