This auction lot is for a CD copy of Transmissions - A Film by Eleanor Bingham Miller. This movie is about Granny Gray of Louisville - a "medium" of note in certain circles. An unusual movie and a glimpse of local history and folklore. Eleanor Bingham Miller grew up in Louisville, went away to Boston for High School. She then went to North Carolina and then onto England for college. She has traveled most of her life and has used Kentucky as her base since 1978. For much of her adult life she has been involved in television and film projects. Working in Los Angeles and New York on documentaries for PBS and other local channels. When she moved back to Louisville, she contributed to her family-owned CBS affiliate, WHAS-TV, through new programming, new technologies and the creation of “Louisville Tonight Live”, which aired from 1978-1984.
