SIDE A has the wrong label on it from the factory! Side A label reads: “The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get-Joe Walsh” and all the details of that album. We don't know if this is a 'one of a kind' or a known/recognized labeling error or what??? but here it is. We couldn't find anything about this error on the internet. The album features album title song “You Don't Mess Around With Jim” plus “Time In A Bottle”, “Walkin' Back To Georgia” and more. All song lyrics printed inside gatefold. The Astronauts was originally organized under a different name in 1956 in Boulder CO. They are best described as a “surf music” rock band. This is just one of their LP albums, with most of the songs recognizable and attributed to other well known artists. They were popular in Colorado, especially Denver/Boulder area and the western U.S. With a moderately following across North America. There albums are not easy to find today. The gatefold cover is VG to EX and would make a fine piece of wall art if you are into that and the custom printed paper sleeve is in Good condition with all the song lyrics printed on it, What a shame the record is damaged. TECHNICS SL-D2 turntable, “C.1980 state of the art” direct drive Hi-Fi Stereo turntable. Designed and built for USA market 120V AC electricity, unlike the used imports from Japan currently on ebay built for Japan's 100V electricity, Beware! This is a “ONE OWNER” previously owned and well cared for item. It is the ancestor of today's current production TECHNICS SL-1200GME (SL-1200X series) (sold at 'upscaleaudio. com') current state of the art, top of the line turntables used by professional D-Js ! The SL-D2 is so well built that with proper care it could very easily outlive it's next owner(s). The direct drive system means NO drive belt to brake and no motor brushes to replace. Effectively no parts in the motor/turntable mechanism to periodically replace. Just a light cleaning and a drop of oil from time to time. This is a “lifetime” investment. It boasts a double vibration isolation structure with suspended base feet and TNRC, an acoustic material with excellent vibration absorption characteristics for the cabinet and base components. In addition, it is designed to minimize unnecessary resonance space (beat) as much as possible and to absorb vibration most effectively. In essence, by design it minimizes record “skip” caused by bump, bass, footsteps, etc. The bearing structure of the tone arm employs a high-sensitivity “gimbal” suspension system with an in-house high-precision pivot bearing. This enables horizontal and vertical rotational axes to intersect at a single point, achieving an initial motion sensitivity of only 7mg, both horizontal and vertical motion. It is equipped with a “State of the Art” in the day “Pickering” cartridge and stylus assembly including hard case & data sheet.
