Crotta Art Nouveau Illustration, early Italian literary periodical/magazine/newspaper with illustration by Giovanni Crotta who is better known for his postcard illustrations from the same period, dated July 7, 1901, 15 ½ x 10 5/8 in., 16 pages with literary articles, poetry, book reviews, etc., front page has a large Grotta illustration and each page has top border with illustrations by same artist, the Google translates the title as “The Northern Sicilian”“🦆in addition to the graphics of G. Grotta this periodical has merit as a piece of Italian literary history, some overall yellowing and top of front page has some minor water stains, not brittle, sold as found. -
