Artist: Fin DAC Title: Hunky Dory Ed of 3. 6 colour screen print on 600gsm textured grey card with red oxide foil mask. Size: 56cm x 76cm Signed, numbered and double stamped by the artist. Comes with COA. Born in Cork, Ireland, but actively plying his trade worldwide, Fin DAC is a self-taught, non-conformist urban artist who has defined and perfected an atypical spray paint style he has dubbed Urban Aesthetics. Through his work, the artist explores themes related to female emancipation and empowerment, readjusting the male gaze and disrupting colonialist attitudes particularly surrounding the Eastern experience. His recent print release, Velveteen with West Contemporary Editions was an instant sell-out, followed by Project 24 - 24 artworks sold over a period of 24 hours, one per hour also proving a sensational success, with the longest time an artwork took to sell being just 9 minutes after it was published. Fin is known on a global scale for his depictions of Eurasian women and is inspired by traditional and ceremonial dressing, in which these subjects engage. His work, on walls, paper, wood and metal crafts a narrative that celebrates their sensuality with cultural sensitivity, rather than appropriation. When he works in an outdoor context, the women Fin DAC paints are often large and commanding, claiming ownership over their urban environment. Although his murals are present in countries and continents all over the globe, Fin DAC remains very much an outsider of the street art scene. -

RNST (b. 1975) Sudan in Revolt, 2019 Silkscreen in colors on buff paper 37-1/2 x 19-3/4 inches (95.3 x 50.2 cm) (sheet) Ed. 59/60 Signed and numbered in pencil. Born in 1972, RNST is a French street-artist and graffiti poster artist. He has been experimenting with canvases since 1990's, the artist took over the streets with his friend Cynik to express his committed art. He used all sorts of techniques: graffiti, posters, collages, stencil. Influenced by rock, his artistic style is a mix of provocation and romanticism. In order to create his works, the artists is inspired by current events. At a first glance, his creations give the impression as if the elements don't have any link whatsoever, but in fact the artist has carefully combined symbols in order to create a well-built critique. However, RNST doesn't want to give us the key, as he wants the spectator to question and come up with his own analysis. In this sense, his support is in keeping with his themes as his works don't belong to him anymore and are public property. During the 2000's, RNST draws away from the street in order to reinvest even more 2009 onwards. Side by side, the artist also creates works on canvas and other recovered mediums. -

Artist: Jeff Gillette Title: Art in Action - Lichtenstien Type: Archival Pigment Print on 290gsm Moab Entrada Fine Art Paper. Size: 16 x 20 Inches Run of: 100. Sold Out. This RUN comes signed & numbered by Jeff Gillette and with a Certificate of Authenticity. ARTIST STATEMENT "I am from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. In the late 1980s I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal for two years. During this two-year stint, I visited every major city in India, finding myself exploring the huge slums found there. On my return to home, I moved from the Mid-West to escape the snow to teach High School Art in Orange County, California. Since finishing my MFA at Cal State Fullerton, I have been exhibiting in galleries both at home and abroad. My work is most often landscapes. A major portion of my output is paintings of slums of the developing world, where I often add an element of western cultural privilege (and oblivion) into settings of urban blight. Inspiration for what I call 'Slumscapes' comes from first-hand experience travelling. Most often I return over and over to my favorite destination: India. In the vast poverty-stricken fringes of its vast megalopolises I trip out on how the economic disparities are obscenely extreme. Ive been spending a lot of time in Mumbai slums: photographing, filming, creating Plein Aire paintings and creating interactive street art. Besides depicting slums, my artwork portrays post-apocalyptic debris fields, landfills, and detritus-cluttered deserts. The Juxtaposition of Disney themes and beloved characters (i.e.: Mickey Mouse) with all these dystopias best conveys my personal views. Pondering contemporary social, political, economical and philosophical conundrums, I cant help but feel absurdly helpless, pessimistic and humored about the future of Western Civilization. -

Shepard Fairey - Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite Silkscreen/Serigraph - Signed 61 x 91 cm (36 x 24 inch) offset print on cream Speckle Tone paper. Signed & Dated by Shepard Fairey. Mint condition. I created the Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite art piece to show support for France after the Nov. 13, 2015 terror attacks which happened just before the time of my Earth Crisis installation at the Eiffel Tower. The piece was very important to me as a symbol of unity during a dark, tragic moment. I was moved that the art and the message was inspiring for so many people in France, and beyond, and it has remained one of my most requested images since it was first created. Im excited to be releasing it now as an open edition offset print, accessible for all. -
