Copyright - Guided By Fear Ed of 50. Archival Pigment Print on Perforated Blotter Paper. 7.5 x 7.5 Inches. Signed & numbered by the artist, and with a Certificate of Authenticity.. Copyright has been daubing the streets of the UK with his trademark pink roses for years. Fusing street art, graffiti and more traditional styles, he uses a mixture of classic painting techniques and spray can art. He creates print styles with stencils, depth with spray paint, and texture with a paintbrush.. His paintings represent ideals from the modern world and culture, portrayed within classic imagery of simple beauty, often depicted by butterflies, flowers and beautiful women. His pictures represent a contradiction of idealism and unattainable visions of beauty found in fashion, music and popular culture.. Over the last decade Copyright has been invited to show his work worldwide, including sell out solo shows in London and Tokyo. Most recently his Precious Damage show which saw him sell all 50 works in 3 hours. He was asked to design the cover of Reload Magazine to go alongside a feature about his art, as well as pieces in Harpers Bazaar, Teen Vogue and Modart, amongst others. He was featured on Series 8 of the BBC show The Apprentice in May 2012 after being selected by the contestants as part of a task based on street art. His highly stylized work and unique style has proven popular with both national and international collectors including a number of celebrities and Premier League footballers. -
Artist: Jeff Gillette Title: Art in Action - Blek Le Rat I Run of: 100. Type: Archival Pigment Print on 290gsm Moab Entrada Fine Art Paper. Size: 16 x 20 Inches This RUN comes signed & numbered by Jeff Gillette and with a Certificate of Authenticity. ARTIST STATEMENT I am from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. In the late 1980s I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal for two years. During this two-year stint, I visited every major city in India, finding myself exploring the huge slums found there. On my return to home, I moved from the Mid-West to escape the snow to teach High School Art in Orange County, California. Since finishing my MFA at Cal State Fullerton, I have been exhibiting in galleries both at home and abroad. My work is most often landscapes. A major portion of my output is paintings of slums of the developing world, where I often add an element of western cultural privilege (and oblivion) into settings of urban blight. Inspiration for what I call 'Slumscapes' comes from first-hand experience travelling. Most often I return over and over to my favorite destination: India. In the vast poverty-stricken fringes of its vast megalopolises I trip out on how the economic disparities are obscenely extreme. Ive been spending a lot of time in Mumbai slums: photographing, filming, creating Plein Aire paintings and creating interactive street art. Besides depicting slums, my artwork portrays post-apocalyptic debris fields, landfills, and detritus-cluttered deserts. The Juxtaposition of Disney themes and beloved characters (i.e.: Mickey Mouse) with all these dystopias best conveys my personal views. Pondering contemporary social, political, economical and philosophical conundrums, I cant help but feel absurdly helpless, pessimistic and humored about the future of Western Civilization. -

Artist: Russell Shaw Higgs Title: Pink Pedestrians 12345 Archival Inkjet on Somerset Satin Enhanced 330gsm Paper Edition of 50 Signed and numbered. Size: 48 x 27 cm About the Artist: Russell Shaw Higgs was born in 1960 in Oswestry Army Camp. He is named after two of his fathers favourite men, Bertrand Russell and George Bernard Shaw. Predominantly based in London, he has a broad and diverse history as an artist and political activist. In the early 80s post-punk band Wicked Kitchen Staff, Russell sang and redistributed shoplifted gifts amongst the audiences. In the late 80s he was heavily engaged as a frontline civil disobedience activist with a number of campaigns including ACT-UP London and Outrage. The early 90s saw Russell flirting with Contemporary Dance, in performances at the ICA & The Place. Russell has lived a fiercely self directed and uncompromising life. Burning many many bridges along the way. Not always making the wisest or most practical choices. He regularly compares the option of death against whatever other choices are on offer to him, in order to be clear about what he is and is not prepared to do. He is by default an optimist. -

Artist: Shepard Fairey Title: Shadowplay 24 x 36 inches Offset on thick cream Speckletone paper. Signed by Shepard Fairey. Expanding on the legacies of artists such as Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, Shepard Faireys practice disrupts the distinction between fine and commercial art. A major artist of the street art movement, Fairey rose to prominence in the early 1990s through the dispersion of posters, stickers, and murals, related to his Obey Giant campaign, which yielded an international cultural phenomenon. Faireys iconic poster of President Barack Obama was adopted as the official emblem associated with the presidential campaign and encapsulates a number of recurring concerns in the artists work, including propaganda, portraiture, and political power. -
