From the estate of a long-time western railroads employee here is a b/w snapshot of a train wreck which I believe may by a locomotive on the Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway...On March 25th, the 700, leading train No. 4 near Redd, WA, hits a rock slide at 45mph. The engine and three head end cars derail and slide down a steep slope towards the Snake River...The engine crew escapes with only minor injuries..Light age and use wear..5 1/2 x 3 3/8".. -
