Signed piece of antique French embroidery/needlework - dated 3 March 1846, made by Charlotte Gebraud for her father, Charles Gebraud. Likely an image of his name-said, Saint Charles Borromeo. According to label on reverse, this was purchased at Henry Stern Antiques on Royal Street (closed in 1993) - in its day considered one of the top French Quarter antique shops. We had this piece tested by our jeweler and it is 10kt gold. Ca. 1870, old style "c" clasp. Note the Red Coral incorporated into the design. It is illegal to harvest this now. Coral was believed to bestow good luck on the wearer and keep away the "Evil Eye." Weighs about 5.7 grams. Price is a little above scrap price. 346 / 373 -

Last in a group of 3 copper plate, hand colored engravings by noted French Bird Artist Francois Martinet (signed). This is La Becasse (Woodcock). Framed, published between 1765-1789 - plate from Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux (the Natural History of Birds" - considered one of the most influential bird books of all time. This is the real thing - not a copy. Antique condition, some foxing, etc. These are highly sought after by interior decorators. 357 / 373 sold -

These 1950's/60s lamps SCREAM Mid-Century - and they even have the original fiber glass shades! Both in working condition - looks like one has been rewired at some point. Each stands about 28" tall. Very good vintage condition. Aqua blue ceramic covered in "weeping gold" - they are a KILLER. Very difficult to find a matched pair. 367 / 373 sold -
