Unexpectedly, I was faced with the task of cleaning out an apartment filled with a large array of antique furniture, as well as treasures and art accumulated during many years. Although mostly of American origin, some of these items originated in the Far East. Norman Legassie agreed to liquidate all the items not claimed by family members. My experience with Norman was positive in every respect. He did his work in a timely manner, with sensitivity, efficiency, integrity, and market expertise.Mabel Peterson
Norman is knowledgeable in all areas, including furniture, art, books, and a variety of antique treasurers. He has reliable resources for distribution of valuable, as well as less valuable material. Norman, This email is to thank you for the amazing estate sale you performed at my house in March 2020. The conditions were tough but you succeeded in finding a way to carry on regardless. The corona virus restrictions and precautions were just coming into force at the time of the sale. You had the quick wit to shift from a crowds-through-the-house approach to a web-site-catalog of pictures for potential customers to review and make appointments to see and buy. It worked for the higher end ticket items and a few passing-through items. In any case, you made it happen. Also I have to recommend you for clearing out all the stuff that did not sell. You found places that accepted lots of my old stuff making it more like recycling than dumping. But you did all the dumping too, and left the place empty, clean, and squared away. And you courteously pointed out to me my responsibilities as the owner, for which I am grateful. So by wit, grit, patience, and a smile you made the estate sale a huge success for me.
