  • Estate sale photo The Porcher-Simonds Mansion. 29 East Battery, Our May 21st Auction will feature some exceptional Furniture and other Antique Items from this Historic Charleston Home located in the heart of downtown on the Battery. The home is one of the most photographed in Charleston and has been featured in Architectural Digest. Recognized as one of Charleston's most beautiful and notable properties, this pre-Civil War mansion was built in 1856.

  • Estate sale photo Antique American Federal Pembroke Drop Leaf Table with mahogany main wood and distinctive contrasting shell and banded inlays. The top with oval drop leaves has a Seashell inlaid center and contrasting banded edges with ebony stringing. With a single long drawer at one end and a matching blind drawer at the other. The fronts of these drawers have also have seashell inlay. All on square tapered legs, The edges of each leg have line inlaid borders. The table measures 20"x33"x28.50" with leaves down and 39" across with leaves up. PROVENANCE: The family of Augustus Zerega diZerega, New York, one of the founders of the New York Cotton Exchange and owner of the Zerega Red flag Line by descent.

The fluted domed lid with urn en flambeau finial over a similarly-fluted spreading top issuing upturned scrolled acanthus and shell handles over a tapering ovoid body, decorated with floral garlands, centrally fitted with a finely detailed scaled dolphin-form spout with upturned tail, over a fluted stem and square pierced and gadrooned base on 4 pierced foliate feet. 23 inches tall. Solid Sterling, London, 1772, by Charles Wright (free 1754, died 1815).

  • Estate sale photo mportant Antique American Federal Quaker made Slant Front Desk. Pennsylvania, 1817. Cherry sides with Mahogany Drop Front and Maple Fitted Interior over 4 drawers. Original hardware. The desk was built by Mr. Caleb Seal, New Garden, PA, Chester County Quaker and one of the Hurfords of Toughkenamon, also a Chester County Quaker family. The desk was made for William Woodward, who was head of the Quaker Meetings in Centreville, Pennsylvania. The desk was purchased at public auction in 1856 by Mr. Commons, also Quaker, of Wilmington Delaware. Measures 40" wide x 22" deep x44" tall. Opened the desk extends to 40". PROVENANCE: The Commons / Phillips Family, Wilmington, Delaware by Descent.

  • Estate sale photo Lot 8- Rare vintage pin tray made by the Tiffin Glass Co. in the 1930's. The tray is 5 7/8" long and 4 7/8" wide. The color is deep black satin with rich amethyst when held to the light. There is a great design in relief of a moose or elk fighting a wolf. The bottom is smooth satin glass.
