Antique Empire Classical Butler’s Desk With Key Up for sale is this beautiful Empire Classical mahogany butler's desk. This is a very rare form. The desk is a drop front design. The desktop sits on two flame veneer columns that are attached to a plinth atop of hairy paw feet. It is 19th Century. It is made of mahogany veneers. It has a fully fitted interior. The drawers are hand dovetailed and the bottoms of the drawers are hand chamfered. The entire drawers are made of mahogany. It has a functioning lock and key. It has it’s original ball casters. Overall condition is very good. It does have the normal wear and tear of an antique of this age, such as light surface scratches, shrinkage of veneer and a few missing small chips. There is a blister on the top, but all the veneer is currently stable.(See photo). Overall, it does not deter from the value. The dimensions are: 51 1/4" tall by 43" wide by 21" deep.
