Ernie had friends and colleagues like Luciannno Pavarotti, Jose Carrera, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Liberace. He played with numerous symphony orchestras including being the only cellist on The Lawrence Welk Show during its last seven years. His swimming pool is in the shape of a grand piano and the wall around the pool area is a giant piano keyboard.
