Many of these items are from the estate of a master banjo player, builder, and scholar of banjo history who passed away in 2017 from ALS. A key figure in the old-time music scene, especially in Seattle, he was known for his expertise in multiple banjo styles, his beautiful playing, his teaching, and his meticulous restoration and building of historical banjo instruments.
