Our client was an Oceanographer at The Naval Arctic Research Laboratory (NARL) located at Point Barrow in Utqiaġvik, Alaska in 1970. He also spent time on the NOAA ship Discoverer, an oceanographic research ship finally landing at the University of Washington managing the Arctic Groups research projects. While in Alaska, he would support the local artists by purchasing art. Over time, he established a nice collection of Inuit art. These items are traditional crafts made by Alaska Natives....
