Joe was from Minnesota and had a passion for gardening and wood working, loved tinkering with mechanics, electronics and cars. He was a machinist by trade, a school custodian, was a good at fishing, telling jokes and making people smile. Charlene was an artist, enjoyed canning what Joe grew . . . but her love of horses brought them to Chatsworth to keep her horse on their property. They lived in their home for 60 years.
