Sale Description

In 2014, an anonymous widow donated her wedding rings into a Massachusetts Salvation Army Red Kettle with an $1,800 appraisal and personal note, which expressed her wishes that the rings be sold to benefit children in need during the holidays. The story went viral, and the rings were sold for $21,000 to another anonymous widow, under the condition that they be returned to the original donor. The story was published in local press outlets in hopes the anonymous donor would step forward, and just before Christmas, she did. These two women, bound by their common experiences of loss and mutual generosity, sparked an ongoing trend of jewelry donations across the region. EBTH is excited to host this auction of incredible items donated to Massachusetts Red Kettles with proceeds from the sale going to the Salvation Army.
