THE STORY: This is the estate of the late Doris Wendling, originially from Decatur, Illinois. Doris was born in 1931, and entered into rest earlier this year, at the age of 86. She was fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her. Doris' home has several interesting antiques, some small and some large. Her father, and his brother, came to the United States by boat, long before Doris was ever born. In the home you'll find antiques from their life in Germany, as well as from when Doris was a little girl and a young lady working at Wabash Railroad. Everything from the German family bible dating back to the mid 1800s, to a newspaper article about the sinking of the Titanic, dated April 16, 1912, the day after the famous ocean liner and it's passengers perished. You'll also find a mix of antique furniture, as well as modern up-to-date furniture and everything else in a home that you can imagine. Take a look at over 450 pictures, and see for yourself the house full of treasures that await......
