Estate sale of a retired engineer. The spouse was a teacher and a seamstress. The property boasts a large woodworker's and cabinet makers shop housed in an oversized two car garage that has every woodworking tool imanigable. There are also two other tool sheds full of tools, another oversized one car garage full of stuff, outdoor area and a filled house.
The carpenter shop has commercial grade tools, like several electric wood planers, many name brand tools, like Dewalt, Hitachi, Delta, etc. Hand tools by the pound. The outside areas has patio furniture, old wood crate boxes, old windows and screens, old fire hydrant, lots of garden tools, old porcelain enamel top farmhouse sink, old double bay cement sink, old wooden chairs, vintage Formica and chrome dining set with matching four chairs in excellent shape, truck lumber rack, camping equipment, industrial fans, etc. We even found two temporary grave markers dating back into the 1950s.
Inside of the house has dressers, armoirs, clothing, vintage mirrors, various household items, a stately pump organ piano, grandfather clock, full kitchen, vintage China sets, glassware, vintage kitchenware, four vintage sewing machines (one is a Singer child's sewing machine from 1928), sewing notions, vintage ephemera (lots of photos dating back to late 1800s), books, vintage stereo equipment (ESS and KLH speakers, BIC record turntable, JVC tuner, etc), small and large appliances, vintage cameras, vintage movie reel projector with screen and home movies, vintage typewriters, etc. Again, too much to list.
The husband and wife team also collected flashlights and figurines of roosters and chickens. There is a plethora of vintage, Antique and old flashlights and lanterns. It's one of the largest collections of flashlights we've come across. There is also dozens of various rooster and chicken figurines.
There's something for everyone at this sale. Definitely a not to miss sale. Address will be posted on Thursday. For orientation, the sale location is near Los Gatos Blvd and Highway 9. Please park legally and on nearby streets. Do not block driveways and please respect the neighbors. Look for neon pink signs directing you to the sale.
