This piece was purchased by my client in 2004 from New Orleans Auction Company for 1600.00 plus buyer's premium (we have the original receipt). Mahogany Carlton House desk, last quarter of 19th century, Top has four short drawers and two hinged compartments, kidney shaped desk has one center drawer and two other drawers on each side. Tapering legs. A restoration company made a repair to the desk in 2007 (receipt available). A very nice piece. It comes with the nice vintage chair you see here. A lovely desk for a lady OR a gentleman. Measures 43.5" across, 20" deep.
