VTG/Antique Johnston’s Chocolates tin w/hinged lid is believed to be c.1920s-30s. Johnston’s was in business from 1848 to 1987. This type of tin was used for advetising and packaging mostly for “Cavalier” variety chocolates. This particular tin has a WWII vintage U.S.Government propaganda stamp on the lid reminding people they should NOT talk about anything they are aware of or connected to that had to do with war time production of war goods, troop movement, etc. for the well being of the country. It’s an extremely RARE item to say the least. Over all this item is in Very Good condition for it’s age. Tin is about 7-1/2"x4-1/4"x2-1/2". Stamp is about 2-1/2"x1-3/4".
