FOLK ART SHIP MODEL | Hand Made by an Italian Immigrant, Riciordo di G. Auteri, in the mid-1940's after WWII. He lived in Clifton and raffled off the model in town to earn his passage back to Italy. The family won the raffle and it has been in their home ever since. The Two Mast Steam Ship has intricate details that include the makers name on a red pennant, the American and Italian Flags, lifeboats, hatches, stairways, smokestack, foghorn and anchors. The Ship is mounted on a realistic base of a dark blue ocean with whitecap waves. An incredible handmade Folk Art one of a kind piece with a fascinating story to go along with it. The original mahogany and glass case shows off the model well. - l. 38 x w. 10.75 x h. 22.5 in (Case)
