A collection of Chinese Communist porcelain propaganda pins and pendants, featuring Mao, peasants, soldiers and others, dating from 1966-1974, these were popular during the Cultural Revolution to show one’s loyalty to Mao’s cult of personality. The Victoria & Albert Museum in London has an example of the large Mao pendant in their collection. On the reverse, it says “Wishing Ten Thousand Years Without Ending to Chairman Maoâ€. All the pins and pendants have similar messages on them.
